This lovely Fall, Jewish wedding at Crystal Springs Resort in New Jersey was actually the second wedding I photographed for the bride’s family. I was the photographer for her sister’s wedding a few years earlier. A few of their mutual friends also hired me to photograph their weddings in between the sisters weddings.

Getting to work with the same family or group of friends on multiple occasions is a great opportunity for me as a wedding photographer. It shows the immense amount of trust and confidence these clients put in me having seen how I work and the photos I produce. They know I am going to make them feel relaxed going in to the process. Over multiple occasions, I have built a rapport.

Everyone feels more comfortable with me around taking pictures. And that is what I strive for at EVERY wedding, whether I know the group already or not. Making the people I photograph feel at ease is one of my primary goals as a wedding photographer.

I am not simply taking pictures. The wedding photographer wears a lot of hats, and I have found that I am equal parts therapist, comedian, planner, and Sherpa on the wedding day. Doing whatever it takes to help you feel relaxed so we can capture authentic photos that show your personalities and relationship instead of some stiff staged or posed moments is what I excel at.
